Product Tiers

The HistoryAtOurHouse curriculum is available to homeschoolers on any budget! Investigate the options below, and watch this site. Enrollment opens this summer for American, Ancient, and European history and some tiers have limited availability. See the registration page for details.


There are THREE PRODUCT TIERS with HistoryAtOurHouse.


PLEASE NOTE: For the 2009-10 school year tiers 2 and 3 are available only for European history. American and Ancient history are available exclusively as digital recordings (tier 1).


Tier 1: Basic ($20/month per level)

FLEXIBILITY AND AFFORDABILITY!

EVERY WEEK, YOU GET:
  • 1.5 hours of recorded history classes in MP3 format
    •      (These are not narrations of a story, they are classes recorded with live student participants and Q&A.)
  • typed class notes to supplement audio lectures

    • ON A MONTHLY TO BI-MONTHLY BASIS, YOU GET
  • tests and test preparation sheets, to implement at your discretion
  • a 5-minute video presentation on certain key topics

    • THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, YOU GET
  • access to the HistoryAtOurHouse yahoogroup, and direct e-mail access to Mr. Powell
    •      (Here you can discuss your children's progress and share curriculum
         implementation and supplementation ideas with other parents.
         Students can correspond safely on this monitored forum. And you
         and your child can ask Mr. Powell questions directly.)

    NEW THIS YEAR: "HISTORY THROUGH ART" AND GEOGRAPHY INCLUDED!
  • an additional 1/2 hr weekly recording incorporating history and visual art appreciation
    •      (The acclaimed History Through Art program now comes standard!)
  • a new map highlighting a particular area of world geography
         (Maps are provided as blank sheets, with thematic coloring instructions.
          Periodically test preparation sheets and tests are also provided to test
          students' memorization of geographic place names.)

    Tier 2: Single Attendance ($35/mth per level)

    ENJOY LIVE LECTURES, AND STICK TO YOUR BUDGET TOO!

    EVERY WEEK, YOU GET:
  • 1.5 hours of recorded history classes in MP3 format, plus...
  • the option to attend one live class per week (a student and parent favorite!)
  • typed class notes to supplement audio lectures

    • ON A MONTHLY TO BI-MONTHLY BASIS, YOU GET
  • tests and test preparation sheets, to implement at your discretion
  • a 5-minute video presentation on certain key topics

    • THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, YOU GET
  • access to the HistoryAtOurHouse yahoogroup, and direct e-mail access to Mr. Powell
    •      (Here you can discuss your childrens' progress and share curriculum
         implementation and supplementation ideas with other parents.

    Tier 3: Full Attendance ($75/mth per level)

  • unlimited access to 1.5 hours of live history classes via audio teleconference
  • unlimited access to recordings, if you miss a live class
  • typed class notes to supplement audio lectures

    • ON A MONTHLY TO BI-MONTHLY BASIS, YOU GET
  • tests and test preparation sheets, to implement at your discretion
  • a 5-minute video presentation on certain key topics

    • THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, YOU GET
